There's a lot of construction going on at the University of British Columbia. The ice rink where I spent much of my pre-30 life was torn down (mostly) to rebuild for the coming olympics. A new 5 level parking lot was built across the street, and I decided that it was time to look at the campus from above. When I got up there, I had to duck: staring at me was the collective imposing gaze of the wardens of progress. Stormtroopers oversee the campus and make sure that us little peons stay in line and do not disturb the march forward to economic prosperity.
