Say it ten times, fast: "toy boat, toy boat, toy boat, toy boat..." - it's even hard in typing!
I took this one back in February when they were prepping for the Olympic Games here. I had no clue what that boat was doing with all those floats, but it was an interesting shot. It's been sitting in my "not-uploaded" folder for 6 months - that's where pics go that I intend to post when they (or I) am ready. But for some reason, I just never did - this picture never quite made the cut.
Then I discovered through The Photo Argus that tilt shift was actually pretty easy in post process (ow.ly link), and suddenly the world opened up for this picture. I used to knock it as gimmicky. Wow is it fun! I spent one morning looking through recent photos for candidates, and I found a couple of others. Spent a couple of hours making "toy" this's and "toy" that's. And actually ended up processing some more images in different ways, just because I got into it. Even for that, tilt shift deserves some thanks.
