I don't like to post in succession too fast, but after this morning's shot I realized I'm getting tired of posting leaves (as beautiful as leaves are). So here's a change, and maybe I'll let this one sit a while.
We went to see Jeremy Fisher at St. James Hall, a little retro-done used-to-be church that now acts as a super venue for intimate music shows because of its wicked acoustics. I was all excited to try out the new camera.
When the lights when down, Jeremy Fisher turned it on - his band is almost folky rock, but man can he sing, and it ain't quiet. Which was good, because my camera's click no longer mattered. I worked up the courage to get into the aisle, walk right up to the front, sit down on the floor and shoot point blank. Took about 50 frames. Some experimental (like this one). Then, back in my seat, I remembered that I had switched to full manual and had metered from back here. I now have 50 blown-out shots - he's all white, his halo is red, fade to black. Oops. But at least my experimental streaking shot turned out interesting. :)
