It's been a while since I had my camera out. I could only really find time to shoot on my walks to and from work. It's a fifteen minute walk. I've lived in this city my whole life, and I've always thought of this area as having nothing that visually stunning - if you were going to do a photowalk in Vancouver, VGH would not be your first (or twentieth choice).
But walking the same route everyday with a camera opens your eyes to the magic that's right in front of you. I like this photo for what it conjures in me about hope, breeze, and breath. About reaching up and out, and being carried away.
