A few people were interested in the word/image combo, so here's the one that's most potent (for me). And because it's a sensitive topic, I'd ask that people are sensitive in the comments. I have (for lack of any better expression) come to peace with this, but I am aware that such an image can bring up stuff for other people, so if we keep comments to the image/poetry/combo, maybe we can touch this as lightly as might be needed.
And as for the image: this is heavy photoshop. I used gradient masks (black to white in an alpha channel) to apply some major Hue/Sat work (the left side), and a Threshold level (right side). There is basic levels for intensification. The words are Wacom Tablet scribble with white paint, and a stroke applied to the layer. This was part of a final street photography class presentation. In the presentation, the image faded over five slides from the original colours to this one. I wanted the yellow to be vitriolic, and the black and white fade in along the trajectory of the lines to the bottom right corner, and to connote whatever "black and white" poetically connotes. The title is the nickname of my friend.
And my apologies if this sneaks up on you by surprise.
